Antony and Cleopatra - Colleen McCullough

I have the attention span of a fruit fly so I never finished Antony and Cleopatra by Colleen McCulough.

It's written very well and those into Roman history will love this entire series unless you are a 'now you see me, now you don't' type too. The writing is gorgeous, detailed, and educational ---and not nearly the vague yet intriguing vacation I need right now. Hopefully I'll come back to this beauty again.

Maybe one day I'll learn to live my life with intention like Cleopatra... but honestly  probably not because I've flown by the seat of my pants for every single one of the thirty-five years I've breathed.

Before readers think I'm one of those 'get down on myself' types or that I am trying to demean fruit flies I'd like to say that there is a whole book on how to live your life like one that I want to read:

So I'm flying out of Rome. Be back later.
